Westwood is a community located in the North West area of Edmonton. Originally annexed by Edmonton in 1910, Westwood remained largely rural until after the second World War when it experienced large scale residential development. The 1960s brought with it redevelopment and many houses south of 120 Ave were replaced with low-rise apartments. Westwood remained a fairly isolated community until the 1970s.
Westwood is a small community with a population of approximately 480 consisting of 223 households. Of these households, 57% have children. English is the predominant language. It is bounded by the Yellowhead & 118 Ave and 97 St & 107 St.
