LIVE IN SOUTH EDMONTON

Twin Brooks is a south community with the Whitemud Creek on its western boundary, Blackmud Creek on the north east, and Anthony Henday Drive on the south. As with much of the Southwest neighbourhoods, Twin Brooks was developed relatively recently.  The land was annexed to Edmonton in 1980, and development only began late in that decade, continuing throughout the 1990s and being mostly complete by the year 2000.  It was named “Twin Brooks” because it is where Whitemud Creek and Blackmud Creek meet.

Twin Brooks is heavily dominated by large single-detached houses, although there are some low-rise apartments, row houses and semi-detached homes as well. Over 95% of the neighbourhood’s homes are owner-occupied, and it is a very family-oriented area with almost 60% of households consisting of married couples with children. The average home price within the community is $585,000 and the average household income is $162,000.00
