The most significant feature of Summerside is the 13 hectare and 28 feet deep Summerside Lake located in the western portion of the neighbourhood. Summerside Lake was Edmonton’s first purpose-built man-made lake.  Summerside, by contrast, was created for the sole purpose of providing residents with recreational space where they can swim, fish and use non-motorized vehicles.

The neighbourhood will also contain a variety of park spaces and two school sites once complete. A business and office park is located along Parson’s Road on the neighbourhood’s western border and small community level commercial facilities are located along Ellerslie Road to the north. This well established and quiet area has an average home price that is currently sitting at $450,856.
