Parkview is a residential neighbourhood in west Edmonton that overlooks the North Saskatchewan River valley. The neighbourhood is informally split into two smaller neighbourhoods with the portion east of 142 Street called Valley view and the portion west of 142 Street called Parkview. The Mackenzie Ravine forms the area’s northern boundary and the River Valley forms the Eastern border. 

The vast majority of the homes within Parkview are owner-occupied, detached, single family homes. This well-established neighbourhood ( one of Edmonton’s largest ) features mature trees, quiet streets, and a demographically older population, with many residents over the age of 50. The average home price within Parkview is $760,000. 

The neighbourhood features its own strip shopping center, Valleyview Shopping Centre, centrally located near 142nd Street. The Quesnell Bridge allows Parkview residents easy entry to various points in South Edmonton, while the West Edmonton Mall, minutes away via Whitemud Drive, offers a stunning variety of stores and restaurants.
