Big Lake

LIVE IN NORTHWEST EDMONTON

Big Lake was established in 1991 through Edmonton City Council’s adoption of the Big Lake Area Structure Plan. The plan includes five neighbourhoods all named after bird species native to the Big Lake area. Nestled against the Lois Hole Provincial Park, Big Lake is surrounded by nature.

Located in the northwest corner of Edmonton, Big Lake is bounded by 231 Street to the west, Highway 16 (Yellowhead Trail) to the south, Anthony Henday Drive and Ray Gibbon Drive to the east, 137 Ave to the northeast, and by Big Lake itself to the northwest. Parkland County and the City of St. Albert are just a stone’s throw away. With access to multiple major transportation routes, Big Lake offers quick access to the city of Edmonton as well.
