Aspen Gardens

Nestled in Edmonton’s south side is one of the most attractive and mature neighborhoods, Aspen Gardens. The area was mostly constructed in 1960, after the land was annexed to the city of Edmonton, and over 75% of all buildings in the neighborhood date back to that decade. Aspen Gardens is now approximately 95% owner occupied with an 80/20 mix of single-detached homes on large lots and low-rise apartment units.

Bounded on the north by Whitemud Drive, on the east by 119 Street/122 Street, on the west by Whitemud Creek Ravine and on the south by 34 Avenue, Aspen Gardens has easy access to multi-purpose trail systems and many recreational opportunities within the Whitemud Creek Ravine.

As an older and more established neighborhood, almost 30% of residents are over the age of 60 and approximately 75% of residents have lived in the area for at least 5 years.

Named after the Aspen tree, a common species in the Edmonton area, Aspen Gardens is close to Snow Valley and is considered to be one of the more coveted areas to live within.
