Aldergrove, named for the numerous alder trees that thrive in the area, is a residential neighbourhood in West Edmonton.

Constructed in the 1970’s and 1980’s as part of the West Jasper Place Area Structure Plan, the neighbourhood is comparatively high-density. Roughly two-thirds of the homes are owner-occupied, with over half of them consisting of single-family detached houses; the remainder of the dwellings consist of row houses and low-rise apartments. Generally, Aldergrove households are larger than average, with solo residents being something of a rarity. One-person households account for only 15 percent of all households in this bustling community.

The Aldergrove School, a medium-sized elementary school, is located in the northern part of the neighbourhood on 182nd Street NW.

Aldergrove is defined by 87th Avenue to the north, 178th Street to the east, Whitemud Drive to the south and Anthony Henday Drive to the west. Whitemud Drive allows for convenient travel east and west, while Anthony Henday Drive offers excellent access to many destinations in and around the city, including the Edmonton International Airport and the University of Alberta. The West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America, lies minutes to the north and east in the Summerlea neighbourhood, allowing Aldergrove residents convenient access to exclusive shopping, fine cuisine, vibrant nightclubs and entertainment.
