Luminaria: When:  December 3 – 4  Where:  Devonian Botanical Gardens

This popular annual event kicks off the Christmas season with thousands of candles lit up along the paths of the Kurimito Japanese Gardens. Visitors to the gardens can enjoy a stroll through the candle-lit pathways, hot apple cider, bonfires, ice sculptures and strolling carollers. The children will enjoy a visit to the Snowlight Maze as well as making a wish and hanging it on a Wish-Upon-A-Star Tree. A particularly special part of Luminaria is the Memory Lane which is available for visitors to light a candle in honour of a loved one. Handmade natural decorative gifts and treasures will also be available at the Crafters Workshop and the Shop-in-the-Garden will also be open. Advance tickets are required for this event and shuttles from Devon will be available to alleviate parking issues. Visit their website for full details.
