The Festival of Trees: When: November 24-27 Where: Shaw Conference Centre
Now in its 32nd year, the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees is firmly established as Edmonton’s signature kick-off to the holiday season . The Festival of Trees is home to hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, as well as gingerbread houses and wreaths. The Festival is also the home to great holiday shopping! The Kids can visit the Secret Shop, which has exclusive shopping for those 12 and under! There is also the annual tradition of the Entertainment Stage which allows you to ring in the season with great holiday entertainment. And for the kids (and the kids at heart)… the Children’s Christmas Lane offers a wide selection of holiday fun for everyone. Admission begins at $2.00 for those ages 2-12 and increases to $5.00 for those 13-17 and $10.00 for adults. For full schedule details and ticket information, visit them online.
Christmas in the Heartland: When: November 26-27 Where: 8 country venues , find exact locations HERE
Welcome in winter with a trip to the country. Christmas in the Heartland is a driving tour of eight unique venues . Local halls and churches will be filled with artisans and crafters, ice carvings, nativity displays, sleigh rides, holiday carolling and more. Local venues will be featuring different aspects of a traditional christmas – be sure to visit the website for full locations, times and details! Donations for accepted at all locations.
Brighten Up Beaumont: When: Friday, November 25 Where: Beaumont Composit High School and Four Seasons Park
Bring your family and friends out to this fantastic winter festival featuring everything from horse-drawn sleigh rides, hot chocolate and oranges to Christmas carols, a visit from Santa Claus, and fireworks! The event runs at Beaumont Composite High School from 6 t0 8pm and is followed by fireworks at 8:30 pm at Four Seasons Park. Visit HERE for more information.
