Things to Do : Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

Christmas is quickly approaching and part of being in the spirit of the season is the reaching out to help our fellow mankind who have needs at this time of year – being selfless and giving! Sometimes you just need to know where to start and with that, we have for you some awesome volunteer opportunities to explore this Christmas !

 

  1. Support Kids Kottage:  Join us on November 30 to help sell 50/50 tickets at the Oilers Game. Please submit your names to us by emailing breanna@relife.ca before November 14 and we will send you all the information! 
  2. Salvation Army Christmas Kettles: A fun and easy way to make a difference for families in need this Christmas season, visit Yegkettles.ca for your volunteer shift opportunities. Easy to get involved with this one and highly rewarding! 
  3. Pack an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox; This is again an easy way to make a difference for someone this year and its a great one to involve the kids. Stop by any Sobey’s store to grab your Christmas shoebox and fill it with small items to be shipped overseas. Collection week  is November 13 -19 at any local Sobey’s ! Full details HERE. 
  4. Christmas Bureau of Edmonton:  The Christmas Bureau relies on hundred of volunteers each season to make their Christmas magic a reality , everything from packing hampers to helping operate the donation desk! Visit their website to fill out an application and get involved today!
