Rocky Mountain Food and Wine Festival: Dates: November 4-5 Location: Shaw Conference Centre

On November 4th & 5th, the Edmonton Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival will return to the Shaw Conference Centre for its 15th year! The Grand Tasting Hall will fill with exhibitors featuring the latest adult beverage products and local menu items. Guests will enjoy a distinguished collection of wines from around the globe, along with premium spirits, single malt and blended scotches, ports, specialty liqueurs, and import and micro-brewed beers. Guests can pair beverages with a delicious selection of nibbles from local restaurants, hotels and food purveyors. Samples range from value based to ultra-exclusive, offering something for everyone! Ticket prices range from $20 to $34 and can be purchased online.

FarmFair International: Dates: November 9-13    Location: Northlands Expo

For over 40 years, Northlands has hosted Farmfair International, one of Canada’s top agricultural shows, where thousands of guests come to the Edmonton EXPO Centre to show and sell top quality livestock.

Visitors are entertained, educated and engaged with beefed-up purebred and commercial cattle shows, world class equine sales, competitions, and clinics. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of western excitement, including stock dog trials, the Heritage Ranch Rodeo and more. Tickets will be available at the door for the admission price of : 6 and under: FREE. 7- 12 years:  $3.00 and 13 plus: $5.00 . Rodeo tickets are available are through ticketmaster. Homes for the Holidays: Dates: November 18 -20   Location: Meeting Place is the Crestwood Community League  14325 96 ave

Tour some of Edmonton’s most beautiful homes fully decorated for Christmas ! This year the tour will include six stops and for your comfort and enjoyment there will be a beverage stop along the tour at Cafe Blackbird.  This year’s tour is not a walking tour and it will take around 15 minutes to tour each home plus minimal driving time. Also, don’t forget to plan for some time at Home Central to pick up your ticket and map and take in a designer hosted workshop! Tickets are available online in advance for $35.00 or onsite for $45.00.

Festival of Trees:   Dates: November 24 – 27  Location: Shaw Conference Center

Now in its 32nd year, the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees is firmly established as Edmonton’s signature kick-off to the holiday season .  The Festival of Trees is home to hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, as well as gingerbread houses and wreaths. The Festival is also the home to great holiday shopping! Be sure to stop by the Gift Shop to purchase festive treasures.  The Kids can visit the Secret Shop, which has exclusive shopping for those 12 and under! There is also the annual tradition of the Entertainment Stage which allows you to ring in the season with great holiday entertainment.  And for the kids (and the kids at heart)… the Children’s Christmas Lane offers a wide selection of holiday fun for everyone. Admission begins at $2.00 for those ages 2-12 and increases to $5.00 for those 13-17 and $10.00 for adults.  For full schedule details and ticket information, visit them online.
