Mompreneur Spotlight : Penny & Kate

Today’s spotlight is with Tamara Schmidt:

I’m from Whitecourt and moved to Edmonton 11 years ago to go to university.
I graduated from Grant MacEwan university with my Occupational & Physical Therapy Assisting Diploma and worked in pediatrics at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital for a few years before deciding to work from home.
I also currently teach piano and voice lessons. I am a certified elementary piano specialist and have my level 1 in piano pedagogy with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.
I love creating, and learning new things. I’m also extremely frugal and hate when things go to waste which is how I started making clothing in the first place.
I have a very supportive, loving husband named Clint and we have a beautiful daughter named Katie and an Australia Shepherd named Melody. We love being active together and spending time outdoors.
The purpose of my business is to make stylish, quality clothing that LASTS through multiple growth spurts so children actually get to wear their clothing for longer than one season. As a mom I understand how frustrating it is when you buy something for your kiddo that they may only get a chance to wear once before they out grow it.
