A beautiful and well established residential neighbourhood, overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley, located in the south west of Edmonton; bounded on the east by Terwillegar Drive, on the south by Rabbit Hill Road, and on the north by 40 Avenue.
Rhatigan ridge is a mature community consisting of 90% single family homes. Almost all of the housing is occupied by owners. There are some very large, beautiful, and unique homes in this community.
Rhatigan Ridge was named in honour of Thomas Rhatigan, a farmer and landowner in the area for many years. He was famous for the quality of his wheat, and oats, and was proclaimed World Oat King at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto in 1953, 1966, and 1970.
The community is a great family neighbourhood, conveniently located, and has two schools – Earl Buxton Elementary School and St. Mary Elementary School, and two community parks: Thomas Rhatigan Park, and Mary Lobay Park.
