Secord is bounded by Hillview Road on the west, and by Stony Plain Road – also called Highway 16-A – on the north. It is defined on the east by Winterburn Road – also known as 215th Street – and on the south by an as-yet-unconstructed extension of 87th Avenue, alternately known as Webber Greens Drive.

Secord contains a variety of housing forms - townhouses, duplexes and single detached family homes are all available within the community. The neighbourhood has an active community League which oversees various projects within Secord as well as the hosting of various events to bring the residents together.

Secord has a variety of walking trails and wetland areas as well as playgrounds scattered throughout. There are many playing fields for a variety of sporting activities.
